Senior Civils Estimator – Undertaking an estimating role for this multi-disciplinary contractor as part of the civils and remediation team, including collaboration with other departments on multi-discipline tendered projects, and design and build schemes.  Successfully secured contracts for remediation and enabling works to Salford Reds Stadium and ITV Studios in Manchester, and collaborated with the stadia department on a successful bid for Brighton & Hove Albion New Training Facility and with the building and rail departments for a Traincare Facility in Widnes for Alstom.

Senior Tender Planner – From May 2008 to December 2009, undertook the tender planning role for the estimating department at UCS

 

Senior Civils Estimator – Whilst at UCS Civils, priced various types of work in an expanding business that moved from mainly subcontract work

to more main contract work including successful bids for Lincolnshire CC contracts.

Secured contracts for structural concrete substructures and public realm hard landscaping for Hewlett Civil Engineering Ltd

Secured contracts for subcontract drainage packages whilst at Peter Duffy Ltd.

 

July 1991 to May 2002

Spent first six years on site in engineering and supervisory roles, then moved into the estimating department as a tender planner for 3 years,

producing tender programmes and quantifying and pricing temporary works, and then for the last two years as an estimator. 

Throughout my time at Birse I worked on major road schemes, bridges, power station, water & effluent treatment, land reclaimation and enabling works.
